Your Makes -Plus- Giveaway Winner

I love getting e-mails from readers who have made projects using my patterns and tutorials. For me it's one of the best parts about writing a blog and releasing patterns. I can't help but feel excited and extremely proud to see how other creative people have taken my designs and made them their own. I recently received e-mails from two very talented ladies who have made projects inspired by my patterns and tutorials, and I just had to share these with you as well!

The first project comes from Christina who decided to make a couple pillows from the Have A Hoot / Vintage Inspired Embroidery and Cushion Pattern to add to an awesome quilted gift set. She made one pillow with the owlie and one with the pieced star to pair beautifully with a spectacular quilt she made (check it out!).

She gave the entire set as a "welcome stateside" gift to her sister's family who was returning home after living overseas while her brother-in-law served in the army. I was completely over-the-moon when I saw her perfectly embroidered owl all stitched up and truly happy to hear that her little feathered friend had gone on to a very good home. She tells me her nephews are pretty fond of the pillows. : )

The next project I have to share comes from a longtime blog reader and mystery charm swapper. I knew that Lisa was working on a figure-8 scarf, but was totally surprised and elated when she sent me pics of her finished project. I just love the beautiful fabrics she chose (can't go wrong with Anna Maria Horner) and have already told her how fantastic these purples and pinks look on her. Don't you agree?

She made her scarf using some of the tips and links I offered in my first post about making figure-8/ infinity scarves. I was happy that Lisa found my post to be helpful in planning her project. She certainly has made one gorgeous and undoubtedly comfy accessory!

Thanks Christina and Lisa for allowing me to post about your beautiful finishes!

I also wanted to mention (and encourage!) that if you do make a project inspired by a pattern or tutorial you find over here, send me pics and you'll be sure to make my day. : )
