After taking a break from officially tracking my works-in-progress over the summer, I'm feeling ready to start dusting off the old list again. I'm hoping that this fall, I will be able to finish some long standing WIPs (like my stack of completed quilt tops) and make some headway on using the stash that I've accumulated.
Lately I've been working away on trying to finish a few things and tie up some loose ends before taking a bit ofa vacation time-off for the next couple weeks. I'll also be taking a blog break, but I will have a few scheduled posts ready to go and I'll have e-mail access, so I won't be completely absent. ; )

So since I have been on a WIP break, I thought I might do a recap of what I have been working on over the past weeks:
Jack O'Lantern Embroidery:

This was actually a pretty quick project for me. I designed and stitched this up over the course of a week. I then took a little longer to put the finishing touches on a pattern that is now available in my Meylah, Craftsy, and Etsy Storefronts. I still haven't decided if I want to frame this one or sew it into a Halloween decoration (perhaps a soft candy bowl or a trick-or-treat bag?). I have some cuts of Nightshade by Tula Pink that I think would go perfectly with it though. Both have sort of that spooky Victorian vibe which I love for Halloween!

Sew Lux September Design Challenge:
I also finished my secret project for the Sew Lux September Design Challenge using this gorgeous bundle of Chicopee. I have my tutorial almost finished, but in the meantime I thought I might show just a snippet of what the project looks like. I'm excited to share this one soon!
M&C Wedding Quilt:
I think it's probably safe to share my progress on this one since the lovely couple I am making this quilt for (my little brother and his new wife!) most likely don't follow the blog. I really wanted to take the time to make this one special, so I am going to be giving myself a little bit of an extension on finishing this. I have everything cut and ready to go, and since these are just squares I think it will sew together pretty quickly. I plan to do some hand stitching on this one too.
